This will be the fourth year I participate in DreadTober and I’m really looking forward to it! Since this first Friday is only two days into the month I’m just going to have time to show off what I plan to paint, in this case a classic 2nd Edition Chaos Dreadnaught! This bad boy is a giant chunk of metal and boy does it weigh a lot! In 2023 I painted the classic Bjorn the Fell-handed and last year I did the classic Dark Angels Dreadnaught so I have some practice with painting these chunk boys. Still, I think this guy outweighs those other two by a little big between the addition of his auto-launchers and his giant melee weapon! In a previous post about Adepticon I mentioned I was lucky enough to find the spare feet I needed for this monster which is why his shoes don’t match the rest of the outfit, a slight I intend to fix! I plan on painting him in the Iron Warriors color scheme as they are the leading contenders for my “next” 40k 2nd Edition Painting Challenge!
The Wachtmeisterson plans on painting the new Big Mek Dakkarig for his Orks as well, this will be his second entry into the DreadTober challenge!
