Chili and ESR seem to be a regular combination around here! When I was searching the blog to see if I already wrote about this game night I re-discovered another Game Night post back in April in which we played ESR and had chili! If it works it works!
We played a scratch scenario with the Austrians attacking the outnumbered French. The Austrians goal was to take the city in the center of the table and cut off two of the three roads on the French side of the table while the French needed to control the city, not get cut off and destroy one of the two Austrian Corps. The French had a total of four regiments in their single Corp while the Austrians had two Corps, one with 2 regiments and one with 4. I won’t go further into detail than that as Jose Muldoon will be coming along with a battle report at some point and I don’t want to ruin the battle for everyone!
You might notice an X-Acto knife and some plastic bits on the table. I had planned on assembling and painting some figures for Star Wars Legion but happily joined in when asked to take a regiment. I still wanted to get my AT-RT assembled for my Galactic Republic army and since I had such a small force on the board I happily assembled at the same time!
