Whenever my Sunday night group gets together I always send out an email asking what everyone wants to do and if anyone wants to make dinner. There is no deep planning, we normally just agree to the first suggestion whether it be a specific game or painting. Leading in to this week I could tell we had a slight miscommunication when one of the guys said 40k, and another one of our group instantly and enthusiastically agreed. The issue I saw was that the first guy was probably talking about 11th Edition, while I knew the second was talking about 2nd! After clearing this up the first guy said he didn’t care and so 2nd Edition it was!

Dinner was easier because my wife agreed to make pasta! I can’t say she’ll make spaghetti because one time the fellas got hung up on the fact that the past was a different shape….

One of the players brought three armies and in order to be able to finish the game made 750 point lists. Rather than splitting a force as there were three players I offered to be the rules lawyer. It might be more appropriate to call me the rules monkey as more often than not I was just riffling through the pages so the guys could get on with the game! The game was Tyranids versus Chaos Space Marines and there was craziness, hijinks and some well aimed Venom Cannon shots!

I’ll probably do a battle report at some point so I won’t tell you who won, but enjoy the pictures!
