I’d like to take a minute to congratulate a fellow Hobby University Instructor, Greg Zuniga, for his excellent placement at the ReaperCon painting competition over the weekend.  Greg won a Sliver medal in the diorama category, a gold in painters and a coveted Bronze Sophie in the diorama category.  Great work Greg, you should be proud of yourself, we here at Hobby University sure are!

I was only able to pull this low quality picture of Greg’s diorama entry off the internet.  Fortunatly Greg has promised me he’d do a blog post of his own detailing all the steps he took to finish this amazing piece.

The hardware!

Greg was shocked at doing so well, I was not!  There’s a really good picture of Greg’s face just after finding out where he placed but I’ll let him decide if he wants to share that with you or not!

By the way Greg’s classed run $20 to $30 at ReaperCon.  (This was before placing so highly in this years competition AND taking bronze in the Adepticon Crystal Brush Song of Fire and Ice Catagory!)  If you take his classes at any of the HMGS shows he attends (Historicon, Fall In! and Cold Wars) you can take his classes for the low, low price of free.  How’s that for a bargain?
