Over the years I have watched the participants of the 40k 2nd Edition Challenge make some terrific backdrops for their armies. I decided this challenge I was going to make a backdrop for my army and as it was a Race to Terra Bingo element this was the perfect time. I decided to make my backdrop 3 feet long by 2.5 tall, this would allow me to make 4 backdrops with the roll of canvas I bought. I grabbed a tarp and some spray cans and laid out the initial back ground.
Once I was done with that I went in and added some random detailing in the background to add some visual interest. I know it won’t win any awards but I think it ended up looking pretty decent for my first attempt!
I think maybe I should have made it slightly longer, but then again this was a pretty big picture for last months entry. It isn’t perfect but I am happy with how it came out and it sure looks better than the junk in the basement as a background!
