One of the “Bing” board items for the 40k 2nd Edition Challenge, Mark VII was to create a piece of either army themed terrain, or Uluru terrain. After wandering through the hardware store and discovering the below piece of electrical conduit I decided to make a turf silo for the scenario. The conduit is made of PVC and would have been $20, but for some reason was marked down to $5. At that price I had no choice! I sprayed the piece before I went attaching bits and bobs to it, and then sprayed it again. I added plasticard strips and glued on half beads to make the piece look a little more interesting. I had some random plastic bits that I glued on, or drilled into the piece and stuck in to make them more secure. I even attached a 2nd edition spotlight on top for lighting up approaching giant spiders, or other far worse creatures.

Since the piece h ad a top that could come off I cut a round piece of foam core and attached some astroturf to it so I could have the silo open if I wanted to.

A quick paint job with a rattle can, some quick weathering, and some giant graffiti waterslide transfers and I was all set to go!

Like the silo says, The butorg must flow!
