New Contributor! Lets welcome Jose Muldoon!

My good friend has been writing some really nice ESR Napoleonic Battle Reports over on Facebook. I liked them so much I asked if he would want to contribute them here so they wouldn’t disappear into obscurity like they do with the Facebook algorithm. I asked him to write a few lines about himself as a way of introduction, we will see his first battle report this coming Friday!

“Jose Muldoon has been an avid gamer for most of his life. Starting with his first purchase of Avalon Hill’s Tobruk in middle school, Señor Muldoon developed a taste for all sorts of simulations. Game systems range from hex-based, ratio-combat tables, computer moderated, and even shudder d20 based systems. He enjoys collecting different rule systems, sometimes just to find interesting ideas within them. However, when he can foist them upon his friends — even better.

Jose loves to paint. Señor Muldoon spends time teaching at miniatures conventions. He loves to pass on techniques from getting started to making enamel washes over acrylic. He enjoys researching obscure uniforms to represent in miniature, such as units with pink or lilac facings.

Señor Muldoon loves many genre and collects miniatures from many manufacturers. For historical periods from ancients to modern. He does have a particular affection for horse and musket periods, especially the American Civil War and the Napoleonic Wars.

One thing remains true; it is the company we keep more than the game rules that make this hobby interesting.

Jose Muldoon’s articles will focus on gaming and perhaps a slightly different style from the Wachtmeister.”
