Brigade Games Tiki Gnomes!

After picking up the Brigade Games Tiki Gnomes at Historicon 2025 I finally finished them the night before Historicon 2026! I have grown to love these little guys and I can’t wait to get them in a game or two of Gnome Wars! First off I needed a picture with the entire crew and all the cool terrain I picked up for them. The outrigger boats are from Hobby University friends at Diabolical Terrain so check them out!

A closer look at the Gnomes themselves!

The whole warband on the warpath!

The leaders and their elite troops.

The pineapple artillery and crew!

Last but not least the regular dudes who I’m sure will do most of the heavy lifting!

I can’t say for sure if I have played more than a single game of Gnome Wars, at the HMGS shows I generally have wandered into the Gnomes being used for other game systems and periods such as the Wild Wild West. I have my boys and I scheduled to get in on a massive game where you can sail from table to table. My only goal is to make it all the way across the room, scenario be darned!

I know I said it before but these were a real joy to paint. I had a lot of fun with the chunky details and adding the little shells and crabs from Green Stuff World! My only (minor) gripe about these figures is I would have liked to have seen some more exotic weaponary and maybe some wicker style shields. A lot of the “Tiki” cultures used wooden weapons and weapons with shark teeth in exotic shapes. The regular chiseled stone look, or in the case of the Chieftain a metal ax, feels like a missed opportunity. I’m also still hoping they do a companion line of miniatures wearing large wooden masks. I’ll keep my fingers crossed!
