Game Night 6/21/26 – Fathers Day Paint Night

We had a small group get together for Fathers Day this year and since I had painting to do we decided to make it a paint night. While this was one of our smaller Father’s Day bashes it allowed my wife to pull out the big guns for dinner! She made ribeye steaks, a wedge salad (salad with bacon, yes please!), cucumber salad and sweet and baked potatoes. She knocked it out of the park and I was almost too full for dessert a few hours later! Don’t worry, I made it work!

Naturally I’m working on 40k 2nd Edition entry for the month, I’m trying to knock out 30 infantry! I was able to almost finish another 10 models so as of this night I had 20 painted. The Old Fashioned was just an added bonus!

The other guys worked on their projects including Cold War era Iraqi vehicles in Microarmor scale, ESR dashboards, and thatched roof buildings for Napoleonic Games in Eastern Europe, and my son assembled almost all of his characters from the new 40k box set, Armageddon, which I just bought that morning!

After a successful night of eating and assembly we finished off the evening with a great Sour Cherry Crumb pie from a terrific pie shop that I was able to stop by after picking up the 40k box! Adding ice cream made it even better!

To all the Dad’s out there I hope you had as terrific a Father’s Day as we did!
