With only two days left before Adepticon I took a chance and spent my last gaming night actually playing a game of Warmaster instead of just painting for it! Proving that not every meal needs to be super fancy one of my buddies brought pizza, my wife made a salad, and I opened a beer!

We used some creative thinking for our game as with three players of no logical allegiance we decided to play 1 v 1 v 1. The player who had lost the most troops would automatically go first in each turn while the other two players would roll off. This lead to some interesting turns as you never knew exactly when you would be going. I ended up not taking many pictures but as you can see from the middle top picture I ended up refusing my flank to face the Orc horde with the bulk of my army while the infantry and a unit of Silver Helms faced my buddies Vampire Counts.

The game seesawed back and forth but eventually the High Elves managed to just hold on and both of the bad guys ended up breaking. Completely in character the Orks broke first having rashly advanced on two fronts! The remaining High Elves were able to defeat the Vampire Counts and with that our game was over. Having played a total of three 1,000 point games I was as ready as I was going to be going to Adepticon. Sure I never played a full game and I was still painting, but I managed to get it all done in time!
