Bingo Board – Warmaster

If you read my Wachtmeister’s Warmaster Challenge post last week you’ll have seen my entry for the month was based, but it wasn’t quite done. Well, my flock arrived so I finished off the bases. I also added some flowers. I’m not sure how I feel about them, in my mind they look really big, but I know they can represent flowering bushes so I think once I get used to them they’ll work. As they are a unit for a “new” game (new to me!) I even got a Bingo square for them!

Looks like I need to make some terrain so I can get my first ever multiple row Bingo board!

In a dispersed formation you can see the models and elven columns a little better. I really like the way the columns were used to add height to the models instead of just putting them on boring flight stands.

Speaking of those columns, you can really see them from the back of the model. I initially painted them white, but I’m glad I repainted them in the cream color I ended up with. The little gems on the side were difficult but worth the time! I remember when my friend said Warmaster could be painted with a basecoat, a drybrush and a wash and I tricked myself into believing I’d let myself do it that way. Ahhh, silly two month ago Wachtmeister, I should have known you would have caused problems for future Wachtmeister!

What do you guys think of the flower tufts as bushes? I do think they work, I just need to reframe them as bushes, not flowers in my mind!
