Saturday was going to be my final day of Adepticon 2026 and I still had a lot to do! Buckle up for a lot of pictures, today was far an away the busiest of the show!
I started off with breakfast at Canary once again. My only disappointment was I didn’t realize they were going to be closed after I had to leave for the airport on Sunday, there were a few more things I wanted to try!

The first thing I did was stop off at the Historical games hall. While not historical I really liked the look of the games in the Konflikt ’47 tournament, there were some great looking armies! I also saw some good looking Saga games which always makes me want to play that game again!

I then wandered around the venue and saw a bunch of great looking games. One of my favorite looking games is the all Knight game, watching those Knight’s stomping around the city!

This was one of the biggest 40k games I’ve ever seen! Sixty players fought it over three rows of tables. My jaw dropped looking at this incredible game. One of the most memorable moments from this game occurred when one of the players used the power of the Pythagoraum theorem to figure out the 480″ range of his Titan could hit an enemy Titan three rows away and eight tables down!

I got a selfie op with the famed Digganob!

I continued on my way to see some more games. Mordheim, Necromunda, and Epic Armageddon. Wait? What decade is this? One of the things I really like about this convention is the esoteric games that are played, I even saw a Rumbleslam tournament! There looked to be more cosplayers this year and they really looked great! I took a picture from above of the open gaming area which was frequently full!

Normally my timing for watching games is terrible, they are almost always wrapping up. That was the story of the convention for the Old World Tournaments until Saturday. I was lucky enough to show up in the hall between rounds when everyone had their armies packed on their display boards for transport to their next tables. I took pictures of every army that I saw and man were they terrific!

For lunch I went to the 3rd Street Market where I had pie for lunch from Mr. Dye’s Pies and a burger and fries for dessert from Bebe Zito’s who replaced Dairyland. No, I did not say that backwards. I was told the burger would take 20 minutes and I was starving so I had the pie first! I was going to get a shake but they ran out of chocolate ice cream!

Fueled and ready to go I continued my trek through the game areas. All of the Necromunda boards looked terrific, but this one in particular was about 3 feet tall and was imposing and impressive! There were less Adeptus Titanicus games which made me a little bummed out but the ones that were going on looked terrific. I really need to paint mine! I then made it to some of the tournaments, including Crisis Protocol, Star Wars Legion, and Shatterpoint, amongst others. Look at the size of the board game library!

Having spent a lot of time walking around I felt like taking a little break. Fortunately for me Atomic Mass games was running a paint and take using the Monument Hobbies paint line. After about 30 minutes my Atomic Mass robot went from unpainted to painted. I wanted to try out each of the available colors and thus his less then conventional paint scheme. As my buddy Greg said it looks like things have been rough for him, but I’m sure he’ll come through. I really liked the Monument Hobbies paints, I’m going to have to give them a further try. I used a few of their colors in my Nurgle painting class on Wednesday night too, maybe this is a sign. I could totally use more paints I’m sure….

These were just a few of the entries from the Creature Caster painting contest.

These were some of the demo games and displays put on by the vendors in the vendor hall. These companies go all out to show of their games!

I missed bits trading last year but from the pictures I saw this year was a much larger event! There were tons of traders, and this was only half of the area, there was another hall full just around the corner. I even managed to pick up Rumble Slam for half price! The guy also had an Arena Rex figure for super cheap, but I had just picked up my copy for full price. Oh well, can’t win them all!

After bits trading I stopped in and checked out my new Warmaster friends playing a massive game of Warmaster. Things were going to get dicey later on when the Emperor Dragon popped out of the castle and started chomping on units!

For dinner my buddy and I went to Marder’s, a delicious German restaurant. This place is a Milwaukee institution and now I know why. Those portions were huge!

Perhaps the only disappointing thing was the Armies Showcase was way more efficient this year and so when we showed up a little before 10:00 we couldn’t get in as the judges were finishing the rounds. I went to make a final purchase at the Toledo Game Room and when we came back we were able to get in as they were announcing the winners. After a few minutes everyone started to break down their displays. I still got to see most of them but didn’t get to spend much time staring at each one like I would have liked. Still, I got these pictures and now I know for next year to make sure I get in a little earlier!

Finally I waited on line to look at the Gold Daemon entries. I always love seeing old school models in the competition, I really loved seeing this group! The Ultramarines were probably my favorite entry!

I took a ton of pictures of the entries, take a look through the following galleries!

What was your favorite entry? If you were at the show did I get a picture of your favorite one?
With over 21,000 steps for a total just over 10 miles of walking today was my busiest day for sure. I’m looking forward to not having to walk anywhere for a few days!
