Five challengers started the Wachtmeister’s Warmaster Challenge, and two saw it through to the end. Let’s take a look at the two finished armies, starting with Todd’s (really S’mukkabelli’s) Orc Horde! First of all let’s check out this awesome pile of lead before Todd applied his skills!
Hoomie scribe here. Last minute posting of the last month of the challenge. This was a lot of fun and some old models with a lot of character.
This month I finished 12 stands: 9 Goblin and 3 Ogre. Four more units for Wampgud’s forces.

Wachtmeister: That is quite the horde! Todd went well over and beyond his goal and almost painted an entire Orc and Goblin Horde in six months! I look forward to facing this green tide on the field of battle!
This month I managed to finish a Hero on Dragon, a unit of Silver Helms, and a Unit of Reavers, a total of 7 stands and 380 points. As you can see from the above picture my plans didn’t quite work out as each unit of Cavalry was supposed to be painted in a separate month, but that’s ok because I did manage to finish them and thus the challenge!
I thought I was going to get even more done than the initial challange but I wasn’t quite prepared for the level of detail on these wonderful sculpts, and I was even less prepared for my stubborn refusal to just do a basecoat and a wash as I thought I was going to do!

Although I have only played one game and painted half an army I decided to sign up for the Adepticon Warmaster Revolution tournament. This means from the time I am writing this to the tournament I need to paint 9 units in 6 weeks. Considering it took me 6 months to paint 9 units and 6 characters I might have bit off more than I can chew but I’m going to push on and see if I can make it!
Throughout the challenge had three other contestants, let’s send them off with the hope that one day they get around to finishing their armies!
