Week three has come and gone and both Dreads are coming along nicely. My 2nd Edition Dark Angels Dread has had every detail painted and is now waiting on highlighting. Wachtmeisterson’s Ork Dreadnaught had some growing pains last week. After doing some drybrushing and covering it with black contrast paint to knock down the sharpness of the drybrushing the whole thing looked like nothing had been done. Wachtmeisterson decided to do traditional highlighting, but is using metallic paint to edge highlight and I think it’s looking pretty nice. He also took my advise and started his glowing yellow eye with a pink basecoat which really helps it pop. We are about a week away from the end of the challenge, let’s see if he can grind on to get this beast finished!
