The fine crew at Diabolical Terrain donated their 28mm fountains to Hobby University so I can teach a class on painting stone and making water effects at Fall In! this year. I painted one as a demo piece at Historicon and wanted to show it off!

I will be refining my stone technique over the next few months but I’m happy with how it came out for a first attempt! The piece was sitting on a window sill to dry and someone stuck their finger in the resin, I was able to cover up the finger print with some gloss varnish. I’ll have to be sure to remember the old UV flashlight instead of relying on the sun for the convention!
This is a very nice piece with very few noticeable print lines from the FDM. Once you are at gaming distance they disappear completely, and when you add resin on top you can look right up at it and not notice anything. This is a great terrain piece and if you can’t make it to Fall In! to take my class you should order one from Diabolical Terrain to add some nice scatter terrain to your board!
