I’m continuing to work on getting my Ludus ready for Adepticon, today I finished Hermes. I had initially considered not putting the wings on the helmet as it looked like they would break off right away but decided last minute I wanted to include them. Well, I was right and shortly after finishing painting them I noticed they fell off. Through some miracle I found them and decided to give them one more try but this time glued them on more flush to the helmet, hoping the additional contact points would keep them secure. I guess we will see if this works or not! I had a lot of fun with this miniature, I used Reaper Aged Bone to make highlights for most of the base browns which did a much better job of highlighting than just jumping to a totally different lighter brown. Maybe I can learn new tricks after all!

I officially have enough miniatures for the tournament I’ll be playing in, but I’d still like to get a few more miniatures done so I can have some options. These guys are a nice palate cleanser from the batch painting I’m doing for the 40k Second Edition Challenge for sure!
