Once I got the edge, highlighting done finishing this guy went pretty quick. I haven’t painted any of my dark angels with a classic second edition red as I have been basing my paint scheme off the Dark Millennium box. I saw M4cr0dutch added some red to his Ballistus Dread when he painted his and thought it looked really good so I figured I would add some splashes here and there.

The varnish on this guy gave me some problems, and at one point I thought it was dry and it was still tacky so the top had my fingerprints impeded. Few more coats of varnish fixed that problem. I’m just grateful all my work wasn’t completely erased!

2024 Dreadtober is a wrap! Now I have to decide if I’m going to finish the second edition version this year, or wait until next Dreadtober!
