As tomorrow is a holiday my boys have off for school and were able to hang out tonight. We got in two games of Blood Bowl for our league, and two of did some painting. The most important thing was my wife made an amazing dinner with produce from the local farmers market.

On top of the lasagna and fresh tomatoes, basil and mozzarella she also made Peach Crisp!

The Lizardmen played the Orcs to a 1-1 tie. According to the Black Orc player the Lizardman player had terrible luck in the first half but Nuffle took pity on him in the second allowing him to tie the game.

The Black Orcs had a heartbreaker of a 1-1 tie against the Old World Alliance. The Black Orc player could have run the ball around in the backfield but ran it back towards the line where he was sacked and the Old World Alliance scored a touchdown. There was still a chance for the Orcs when the Troll threw a goblin with the ball which safely landed but bounced away from the end zone. Without that the goblin could have gone for it into the end zone. He made it right to the line line when he was ganged up on by 4 opposing players who even with a re-roll only managed a push. Needing two 3+ dodges with re-rolls the goblin rolled a 1, re-rolled with a 4, then rolled a 1, with a 2 on the re-roll to get in the end zone and the game ended as a tie! On the plus side, it was the first game for the Black Orc player with a fully painting team! Earlier in the week he had to bring an unpainted star player against his brother. 

It was a second edition paint night with my buddy finishing his Eldar weapons platform except for flocking the bases and me painting the webbing on my Cadians who have been sitting on their sticks since just after the second 2nd Edition Challenge.
