Today was a whirlwind day 4 for us. I taught my basing class and then got to wander around the show. My boys played a game of 40k trying to have their Knights stop the green skin horde. While they were overwhelmed they had a great time. They weren’t scheduled in a game so we were very grateful for the GM who offered them a spot in his game as they walked by.

I got to see a bunch of really neat games. The boys played in a few demo games in the vendor hall while I spent a bunch of money!

The highlight of the show for me was the painting contest. Nicholas entered his Blood Bowl troll and got first place in the youth category. Steven painted a squig at Hobby U’s Paint and Take and entered it winning 2nd place in the youth category. Nicholas was so proud it really made my weekend. Heck, I entered three categories and didn’t win anything!
Shockingly I failed to take pictures of my delicious meals from the Central Market and the Southern Market. I guess we’ll have to settle for this empty bowl and a cocktail.

We ended the night with our annual Iron Paintbrush painting contest. We had a record six teams and 21 contestants!

Finally, after breaking down Hobby University we finished up with a traditional old fashioned before bedtime!
