If you’ve been following this blog you might have noticed I didn’t post any pictures from my Sunday night gaming group this Monday. Well, we were at a lacrosse tournament and decided to spend a day at the beach. Of course Flat Kanley came along!

Flat Kanley certainly approved of lacrosse. He felt it particularly suited the Snakebite Clan, and while it could use some more Dakka it was suitably violent!

There is something very Ork like about scrapple and I was on a total scrapple kick this weekend. Surf Bagel made an excellent scrapple, egg, and cheese, I ate there twice for breakfast, and got an awesome salad for lunch!

Flat Kanley always seems to find an effigy to Gork and/or Mork, the totem pole in the center of Bethany Beach certainly fit the bill!

While we were playing mini-golf Flat Kanley sacked a fortress. The locals didn’t put up a fight but that didn’t stop Flat Kanley from celebrating!

A quick stop at the Fractured Prune for some fresh made doughnuts started our day at the beach. They didn’t last long enough for me to get a picture of a full box!

No trip to the beach is complete without a trip to Billy’s Subs in Ocean City. It was 10 minutes from where we were staying and it takes a little while to get the food ready, but they are so worth it! Make sure you have them cut the “regular” size sub in quarters, they are huge!

Finally we wrapped the trip up with a few trips to Vanderwende’s. A small scoop is $7 but it is easily actually three scoops. This picture was after I ate quite a bit of it. If you don’t believe me you can trust a group of 12 year-old’s. After our lacrosse game I told the team about Vanderwende’s and some of them beat me there before I could give them the rundown. A few of the kids got 2 scoops and ran up to their friends and said “DON’T get two scoops! It’s way too much!” And that was after a day of three lacrosse games! Pro tip: If you get one scoop they will split the flavors if you ask them to.

That was a wrap for this trip. I wish we could have spent at least another day but I’m glad we got to go at all!
