While none of my gaming group was available to meet up this weekend my wife made sure I could get in some hobby time. She took the kids to the pool so I was able to stay home and relive the 90’s. First I watched the terrific X-Men 97 while painting some retro 40k. While not quite 2nd Edition he’ll fit in well with my Dark Angles and serve as a bonus entry!

When I started to feel I was rushing my painting and getting sloppy I switched to reading Trollslayer, which I haven’t read until now, while listening to the classic Blue album from Weezer

When the family came home we went to a local brewery, Old Bust Headhttps://jacklegva.com for dinner and a round of Carcassonne. Dinner was Detroit style pizza from Jackleg Pizza right next to the brewery and it was delicious. I might have to turn in my “I’m from New York” card for saying this, but I do love some Detroit pizza! The beer is the amazing Triple Berry Sour. It isn’t always available but when it is I’m make sure to head over!

While it wasn’t my normal hobby night it was a terrific day all around!
