When I backed the Waia Games Rep’Tailz Warriors (Lizardmen) I had the opportunity to add another team at a discounted price.  I had initially intended to get the Dark Elf Team but ended up getting the High Elf team instead.  The Dark Elf Team is why I backed in the first place, however, they have so many cool additions such as cheerleaders, coaches, and so on I was afraid to spend too much money on a company that wasn’t known to me at the time.  This was especially the case as I’ve all but sworn off Kickstarter as I’ve been burned more times than not.

The High Elves are beautifully sculpted and capture the ascetic of the late 1990’s, early 2000’s perfectly.  I spent some time perusing the internet to find a team that looks like this one and have failed.  It’s almost as if the design was pulled straight from my head.  Like the Rep’Tailz Warriors they have minimal cleanup required, and the poses are terrific.  You get a full team in the box, and three markers for score, turn, and re-rolls.  The set didn’t come with a football like the Rep’Tailz did so I might add the custom High Elf ball to my next order, but let’s be honest, if you’ve been playing more than a few minutes you probably have enough anyway! 

Edit: Waia Games read the review and told me the ball does come with the set, it was a packing error and they are going to fix it for me. How’s that for customer service?

You get a total of 8 Linemen. Three are dynamically posed, with one of them just begging for the Kick special skill, and 5 are more static. 

I am probably not a good enough player to use this team right but they are so pretty I’m going to have to try!  Now that I know how great Waia Games are I guess I’ll need to pick up the Dark Elves next!     

If you are interested in getting your own High Elf team go to Waia Games and tell them the Wachtmeister sent you. You won’t get anything because of it but tell them I said hi anyway!
